Maksim Kan wins Midwest Open Championship!09/02/2011 @ 12:00 am
Arun’s Tennis Academy student Maksim Kan, currently ranked number 2 in the nation on the Tennis RPI presented by IMG Academies, defeated the No. 5 seed in the Boys 18s USTA Midwest Open Championship - held in Okemos, MI August 4-8. He won the match against Rafe Mosetick, 7-6(8); 6-2. He defeated the No. 1 seed, Julian Childers, 6-0; 6-2 in the semi finals. Congratulations Maksim!

Billy Lennon, Sam Ubersax, in singles. The top seed Dhruv Yadav had to withdraw after suffering a knee
injury.

BRIAN YANG WON 16 AND UNDER MENTOR TOURNAMENT.
EMILY MAZZOLA FINISHED FOURTH AT STATES
SURYA KHADILKAR AND TAYLOR JOHNSON FINSHED FOURTH AT STATES IN DOUBLES.
SID AHUJA FINSIHED THIRD AT THE AURORA ILL BOYS MIDWEST TOURNAMENT IN 14 AND UNDER
NATHAN GRIFFIN BEAT THE SECOND SEED AT THE SAME TOURNAMENT IN 14 AND UNDER.
MAXIM KHAN IS CURRENTLY RANKED #18 IN THE NATION ON TENNIS RECRUITING.NET
